Question Newbie Questions -- sorry

Hi All,

I just got my Blue Evo a few days ago. So much for being too kind in the break-in--I am just having way too much fun

Anyway, wanted to ask some questions which may or may not have been covered. Sorry, I won't do it again--if they have been covered can you give me quick answers or just prompt me to do a freakin search and I'll oblige!

#1 Sucks to have to "activate" the auto mode of the IC sprayer each time you turn the motor on. Is there a way to override this and set it to default to auto when you start her up??

#2 In similar fashion, sucks to have to "activate" the fog lamps each time you turn on the headlights. Is there a way to fix them to come on normally?

#3 Anyone found a good answer to where do you keep your spare drive-thru change where it won't be sliding around making all kinds of noise and still be able to access it?

#4 I plan to do the "goof off" removal for those dumb airbag sunvisor decals--anyone had problems with this as far as messing up the material?

#5 Since I plan to head up to Willow Springs sometime soon, is there a double shoulder harness that can be attached to the child anchor on the rear deck, go thru the Recaro holes, and then strap/attach to the OE 3-point belt??

#6 Anyone got an XEDE or mods who lives up North of the SF Bay area??

Sorry, just way too busy driving it to stop and look at all the threads now--I'm sure you know the feeling . . .

Welcome to the board.

#1. Yeah hitting that button each time is soo tiresome! My finger is all swollen today from having to push that button each time I started the car this weekend... huhu :P No one has posted a way to get the button to autoactivate upon starting. While it seems easy, the difficult part is still being able to manually activate the spray when you want it after creating a way to get it to turn on automatically.

#2. Fog lights are meant to be used only when it is foggy. No one has posted up about getting them to automatically turn on.

#3. There is a change tray down by your left kneecap. If it makes too much noise, go buy some rubberized tool shelf liner from your local SEARS.

#4. Those are not stickers. The airbag warnings are screen printed directly onto the Visor. Goof-off won't help.

#5. The child seat mounts are not meant for shoulder harnesses. They will not hold up upon impact are not at the optimum position for harness mounting. Besides, most tracks forbid you from using 4/5 point harnesses unless you also have a safety cage installed.

#6. Yes there are. Go to the West Coast local forum to seek them out.

1. You dont need to use the sprayers everytime you use the car. You WILL run out of water very quickly, then you burn out the little motor from no cooling, yet you're still on Auto. If you've been zooming on the freeway, or out for a track lap, then use it. It's a supplimental cooling system.

2. Fogs, or rather Driving Lights on all the time? Why?

3. Dump it in the center armrest, it won't move around with the other junk in there =)

4. There are various tricks to getting that decal off, sometimes it's cheaper, easier, and looks much better to just order two new ones from the dealer, they shouldnt have the sticker on then (I hate those stupid things).

6. You are close to Vishnu, go by there and have a look see at the XEDE.
