any info about the production numbers from mitsu?

how many evo's have been built/sold for 2003

just wondering... for some reason, i feel as though there will be more than 6000 like was said before ala WRX

 

i doubt there will be more, those production numbers are set my mitsu in japan i believe, not to mention there is the posibility of a lawsuit for those dealers who were selling these cars as limited production vehicles and having that as part of their sales ads...

 

What grounds would there be for a lawsuit just because an ad said "limited production"? Who is to say how many limited production actually is?

 

I think it's a matter of Mitsu saying "Hey, you CAN'T do this right now, and if you do, we will sue you. Read your damn contract again."

 

my salesman said that they only make 5000 for the US, don't know if this is true or not. he even said that they only make 400 of the blue ones and that it's the rarest color among others.
anyways, rarest or not, blue is my color, so it doesn't matter to me

question: is the EVO VIII GSR or RS?
and whats the diff?

 

i think your salesman got it all mixed up. The STi is only 5000, the EVO8 i believe is NOT limited. I read it somewhere along time ago, not from forum.

The EVO8 in usa is not a GSR. Not yet atleast.

Both STI and EVO are both not limited production, they will make as many as they can sell.

 

my car was sold/ advertised as being limited in production, limited to about 6000 cars.... Which is why mitsu financing isn't available on it. That is grounds for false advertisement... not to mention their 23,000 dollar mark up the first week of sales (no i didn't pay that)
