Bought a IX need some advise

EDIT: Just realized I misspelled advice. I'm an idiot. LOL.

Sold my VIII a while back and bought a C5 Z06, the Z was an awesome car but sucked as a DD so I sold it a few months ago.

I saw this IX on ebay and went to check it out. It was clean and drove nice and tight. The turbo (he says G50ET but I'm pretty sure he is mistaken) is a little laggy but I think that it just needs some time on a dyno. I talked to the guys from Slowboy racing and they said that it looked like an older kit that they used to sell but I'm not sure about what exactly I'm getting. For those of you who know can you look at the pics and tell me (from what you can see) what I'm getting.

I do know that the transfer case has been rebuilt by sheptrans.

Check it out here and tell me what you think

Thanks!!!

when you drove it was it running on pump gas or race gas?
when did the turbo kick in,
i wouldnt be surprised if it was a g50et it has two external waste gates... thats only used on large large grande big turbos

idk man its never easy to buy one that is already built you never no if its been raped or badly beated, you have to assume the worst.
but ya thats got to be a big turbo down there, like i said twin external waste gates,

Pump gas (93) the turbo didn't really spool up until 3500-3800 RPM. She's a dog below that too.

It's running a canned tune. One of the first things I'll have to do is get it to Atlanta and have a custom tune done.

Well, just because the transfer case was rebuilt does not mean anything.... I had my car fully built and just did it because it was already out. I never had a problem with it.

Not saying this is the case but with a shep rebuild you should be good to go. Does this person not have any of the receipts of what was done?

He did some of the work but most was done when he got the car. He is a small private dealer and bought the car for himself to track, with the economy he's been struggling and needed to get rid of it.

He did have shep do the t-case and a local tranny shop did the R&R.

As far a receipts he is not as organized as I would like.

The local speed shop he took it to is owned by a buddy of mine I went to school with. I talked to them about the car and they told me that they upgraded the injectors and put the canned tune on it to get it running smooth but that there was a good but of power left on the table since there is no dyno around here and the guy evidently didn't want to pay for them to street tune it with a wide band.

My main concern right now is figuring out what the car has and that it is installed properly. I'm pretty sure it's safe to drive since Speedsouth told me it was a very conservative tune. Down the road I'll want to optimize everything and let the car make the power that it can.

it looks like a clean car man, go for it. the only thing i noticed is the Yellow Slip that is attached to the car key, check out the pics, there is a pic with the key inside the ignition and there is that yellow slip on it. I think, dont quote me on this but cars that leave the dealer's Auctions usually carry that slip on the key which identifies the make/model/year..etc. on the car,. i don;t know if that really matters, but its worth checking.

It's an auction car, it came from south Florida.

It only has one key too, so that's a trip to the mitsu dealer.
