Yeah Ryan, I'm thinking about taking my car off the market for sale just because of these incidents...I'm quite pissed, but I know there isn't a whole lot I can do about it!

I'm going to take a quick look tomorrow morning before work and see what they ****ed up underneath there.

I completely agree with you man. I've installed everything on my car so far, other than the clutch. I know most people aren't as picky as me about my car, and I've had too many ****ups at dealerships trying to work on my car when I was younger. It's frustrating, but I needed my tires installed/balanced so I had to take it somewhere!!!

On a positive note, this was my first night driving in 2-3 inches of snow on snow tires, and I can't believe how the car handles in the snow! It's almost scary!

I'll keep everyone posted on what I find underneath there!

Thanks man! I was thinking about wetsanding as well. I'm used to using a makita rotary on my car, but I'm pretty sure I saw some deep scratches that it wont take out. Would wet sanding take out scratches that you can feel with your fingernails though?

On this picture you can see where some damage is done just under the right bolt.

Thanks for the help!

I'm usually pretty calm, but trust me I was pretty damn frustrated when I first saw this! However, anger gets a person nowhere and I just want to get my car looking normal again soon!

I rack my car up all the time at work.

The Evo side skirt, like many other cars, sits lower than pinch welds by far. When they racked up your car, the side skirt hit the rack arm first, pushing up and causing the damage.

Yeah, I have one person coming down from the cities this weekend to look at my evo. If he doesn't buy it, I'll probably just hang onto it.

Man....the things you notice when you wash your car. It's scary how things go unnoticed until you get a close up. Hopefully you get this resolved.

NO.

Well, yes if you have a proper jack that has a slit in it. You can not balance the weight of the car on those thin pieces of sheet metal. For the front of the car there are solid points to jack from just behind the control arms (use a block of wood). When using a floor jack always use the front center subframe and from the rear on the differential. NEVER jack straight on the thin side sheet metal, unless you like irreversibly damaging your car's unibody.

Dude I feel so sorry for you, I would be in that shop brewing up a **** storm...when balancing or mounting tires, I actually remove my wheels from my car and throw them in my beater and take them to the shop. I won't give those dumb grease monkeys a chance in hell in touching my car. The most advanced car they probably get to work on typically is a Dodge caravan, so they probably don't understand people who actually care about their vehicles.

That's why you only take it to a dealership where you have connections where only their top mits guy that knows what he's doing will touch it like me. That or a specialty shop that knows what they are doing and works on a lot of evo's. Sorry to hear about your car. I would be hella pissed if i was you.

Oh btw when you look underneath if there is damage take pictures of it to help prove your case. There should be a partern in the damaged area potenially from the lifters on the lift.

Well, here's the pictures. I really don't see anything that would be making the fender stick out as much as it is? Am I missing something?

Let me know what you guys think!

Take picures of the side skirt just before the pinch weld. I re assure you that is where the rack contacted your vehicle first.
