Beatrush Undertray Install

Ok, I finally FINALLY got this done! I was going to order the buschur undertray at $175, but UPS got sick of shipping them for a 'mere' $75 and upped shipping charges to freaking $200. So, I decided to just get the beatrush undertray and get it done. In the end, I'm SUPER happy with it. MAP got me a killer deal on it, and with some minor modification I got 2 bags of dzus fasteners from kurveygirl.com to fit nicely. These are nice 1/4 turn fasteners used on airplanes, motorcycles, and now evos

Oil change = 4 fasteners
Tow hook = 4 fasteners
Whole tray drop = ~10 fasteners

Drilled out the holes for this panel for the new fasteners:

Aero veins mounted:

Fully installed!

Just in time to use these puppies:

THANKS Modern Automotive Performance (MAP) for the hook-up on this!

Bring on the snow

****Update! ****

This served me well through the winter! I was looking at a friend's undertray and he clued me in that I had the vertical uprights mounted a little wrong. I had the undertray off for a FMIC install so I took the opportunity to fix it, as well as mount up the little flaps that go down in front of the tires:

**edit***
Heh, people keep asking me what dzus fasteners I used and I'm pretty sure someone else posted this before me so I *cannot* take credit for it, I am merely passing on info I got from somewhere else (ON this forum though). I got TWO bags of the 10pc - Dzus kit for Ducati 748, 916, 996 & 998. 12mm range, 15mm overall length. I'm sure other sets would work fine too.

Heh, here's the bag of crap I didn't use thanks to the dzus fasteners! I can't imagine having to unbolt all of this stuff to get the bottom off, it'd be a NIGHTMARE!

The flaps that go in front of the tires did not get put on. The way they mount did not work with the dzus fasteners, so I think I'm gonna just drill some extra holes about 1" back from where they're supposed to be mounted and just bolt them to the tray. As originally designed, they'd go where the two dzus fasteners are, just in front of the wheels. I'm told they have a tremendous effect on aero, so I'll be taking the time to get them fit (sooner or later ).

The fasteners I got from kurveygirl.com. The undertray I got from MAP. They're a site sponsor, you could PM them, otherwise I can post a link here if you want.

For some reason, while at work, I am really scared to look at that website.

I am sure work will freak out initially when they see that web site address.

Funny! On the stickers that came with the product, they had a tagline on them:

"motorcycle stuff, not ****!"

LOL

for some downpipes - like the tanabe. The back piece of the undertray will touch the downpipe - should be fine for stockers though.

Is this true? I heard most aftermarket DPs, even 3" ones, will clear this undertray without any issues.

So being that I have a tanabe dp, I will not be able to use this undertray?

Not true. I have the buschur 3" downpipe, and it fits perfectly.
