valid point but too many times where people are just retarted and decide to come to a stop at places where they shouldn't be. Sometimes I wish I drove a 18 wheeler and just drive through them.

Yes unfortunately the only pictures I have up right now are on my facebook site.

Well I have an update on this accident. The insurance guy went to the body shop I had the car towed to and it ends up that the insurance company estimated that there is 9157.18 of damage. So the auto body shop is going to order all the parts and give me a time frame when the car will be ready when the parts come in. The name of the body shop is Rich's Automotive Auto Body Specialists in Emerson, NJ. If anyone is from Bergen county and has been in an accident I highly recommend these guys. Rich himself is a great guy and easy to communicate with. I'll keep ya posted when parts come in and progress of the work.
sorry to hear. unfortunately as idiotic his action was it will be 100% YOUR fault as you were tailgating him and not keeping a safe distance.

advice: i would get a check with the estimated amount. there are alot of parts you can buy used on evom and save TONS of money. infact you can replace alot of the parts yourself to save a TON more if you are a DIYer. such things as hood, front bumper/fenders, IC, radiator and oil cooler is very easy to replace yourself.

Sorry to say but your probably going to have some frame damage , the accident looks like the one i had . Drive in a pickup slams the brakes and i hit him . Same damage front headlights pop out , bumper is bent and hood opens . It looked good but when i was getting it fixed they found that both frame rails had bent .

Modern cars are designed to crush so they don't transfer the hit to the occupants. I got rear ended by an SUV when I was sitting at a red light in my DD, about 10-15 mph at most, and the front end of the car that hit me was completely smashed up and it could not drive because the wheels were pushed into the fenders.

Did you get hurt? If not, then the air bag did not need to go off. I was riding in a BMW that rear ended another car going faster than you said you were going, and its bags didn't go off either.

I have seen some Evos take some serious hits without the occupants getting hurt too bad.

Sucks that it happened though. Make sure the frame is straight

Yeah, I'm one of those drivers that leaves a lot between me and the guy in front of me when driving in the snow. I may have pissed a few people off but I haven't hit anyone, or gotten ticketed for following too closely or driving too fast for conditions.
