Weather takes another one...

Ok so driving to work this morning the guy in front of me decides to slam on his brakes because apparently he misses his turn. I then step on my brakes and hydroplane due to the slick wet surfaces on the street. As you can see by the pictures I totally screwed up the front end of my car and now am asking anyone who can help to please do so with extra parts you have or even just any info they have about their own experience with rear ending an econoline van. Yes unfortunately the only pictures I have up right now are on my facebook site.

Well I have an update on this accident. The insurance guy went to the body shop I had the car towed to and it ends up that the insurance company estimated that there is 9157.18 of damage. So the auto body shop is going to order all the parts and give me a time frame when the car will be ready when the parts come in. The name of the body shop is Rich's Automotive Auto Body Specialists in Emerson, NJ. If anyone is from Bergen county and has been in an accident I highly recommend these guys. Rich himself is a great guy and easy to communicate with. I'll keep ya posted when parts come in and progress of the work.

Yeah but this shows how easily these cars crumble, the air bags didn't even go off and look how bad the front end is. They are towing it shortly from my driveway.

I personally have seen way worst front end damage on an Evo then that one and trust me the air bags didn't blow on "those" evo neither. its like an evo thing?? Because if the air bags does blow up then the car would be considered TOTAL! but as long as your ok man, you know....

That damage isnt all that bad really. Its all cosmetic it looks like. It doesnt look like your intercooler or even your radiator is even damaged much if any. New hood, new front bumper, maybe fenders and some minor straightening and you'll be good to go.

My wife got rear ended in her acura the other day. Destroyed the rear of her car, didnt even hardly scratch the kids truck with brush guard. Now we get a sweet chrysler sebring rental!

Count your blessings that the airbags didn't go off. In a low speed collision such as this the airbags can cause injury and greatly increase the cost of repairs. I'm glad to hear that you are ok.

I agree the damage isn't that bad but she looks like she was punched in the face and either broke her nose or got a fat upper lip... haha I'll see shortly what needs to be replaced.
