First snow

Well tomorrow is the first snow. Very odd being this late for where I live...gogo global warming! Anyway... I'm dreading the salt like no other. Just got my car 4 weeks ago and have to make it go through that crap I am excited to see it can do though. Supposed to get 3-4 inches so it should be a decent amount to try. I'm glad it's not more since I'm worried since the lip is pretty low and I don't want to use my car as a plow through the neighborhoods. I'll get fired I do donuts at work probably but I'll still try to enjoy myself!

Be warned, even with AWD unless your Evo is equipped with proper snow tires you will not be plowing through the snow, but more likely plowing into parked cars, curbs, or stuck on the smallest of inclines. Trust me, I speak the truth.

Rust on the rotors? Hit the brakes it'll come off. If I wash the car and don't drive it I get a little surface rust on my rotors.

If you havent switched your tires to something else be VERY careful on the stockers in cold temps. They are soft rubber therefore get very hard when it gets cold.

You mean well but are not correct.....snow tires actually have softer rubber than the stock tires...and snows do not get hard in the cold.

Don't confuse sticky with soft...

speaking of salt, when i had my srt-4 the salt truck drove right by me in the other direction while i was waiting in a left turn lane and all that salt just smacked into the door lol. that sound is like fingernails on a chalk board. hopefully with the evo now i wont have any situations like that

What are the stock tires? The ones on my car now are M+S so I thought I'd be ok for the winter.

Snow tires make a world of difference....without them you have 4 wheels spinning instead of just two.

Shameless plug below:

I have a two sets of 4 Bridgestone Blizzak tires. I will be posting one set for sale soon.....only two seasons on them.

235/45/17 and 225/50/17, One was on my Audi A6 2.7T the other on the wifes Audi. A4...not sure which set I will keep......No plugs, tears, rips, bubbles, holes....ETC. (A4 is gone)

$250.00 shipped in the lower 48.......if anyone is interested.

OD is 25.85 (slightly taller than stock....raises the car maybe a 1/4 inch (skinny is better in deeper snow)
Stock is 25.32 OD for the 235/45/17 (stock size)
