Engines got a constant rev

so today i was pulling up behind a vette, so naturally like an evo owners suppose to do, i began to rev my engine, after reving it up to 7-8grand the car kind of dropped to 6 grand and then fell and rose in between 6-7, for about 10 seconds, so tried again on the side street did the same exact problem bolth times i was in neutral, so i just did the oil the day before wanted to know if anybody had a suggeston to why i am having this problem,

Yea, I have a suggestion. Stop revving at cars and making us all look like idiots by association.

Suggestion - don't be that guy.

Free revving is not great for the motor. Is there engine knocking or visible damage? What is you limiter set to? Check the oil/fluids/all hoses.

<grin> Shhhh, don't tell him that. I specifically left it out of my reply. OP, keep revving to 8K while stationary. Hell, try 9K next time. I bet the car next to you will be very impressed.

WOW this is what happens when A these cars depreciate enough for a fool to buy them,
B daddys rich .
I would be laughing so hard if i were the guy in the vette, WTF would you free rev your car to nearly 8k the most that is needed to provoke any gearhead is a bloop of the throttle to catch their attention and then you show them what the rear of your car looks like.
Please sell your car and buy a 93 civic dx hatch and free rev your heart out .
