From my experience is, Evo's do a little better when you get into boost a little. I can almost get 20mpg (city) when I get about 3-5lbs before shifting. maybe its getting up to speed and cruising that gets the MPG up. Maybe i'm crazy, ha ha

Show me another car with near 300hp that can get 25mpg.
No snow on the highway. If there was, I definitely wouldn't be going 60mph...
I'll accept your challenge though:

It makes more than 300 hp though...

I had better MPG before I installed my Walbro. It seems since then I lost 1-3MPG. I am waiting to get my TBE before I tune, maybe I should have waited longer to put my Walbro in, oh well it’s only a few MPG

I was getting 22-23 running mostly rural roads with maybe 5%-10% city. Now I get 19-20.

Would not trade my Evo for anything though.

Honestly, I don't mind 20 or upper teens, I just hate having to kill up more than once a week at times. I want to be able to get at least 300 tank. Sunfire I could get 400/tank. SRT-4 was the same boat. It had a 12.5 gallon tank but slight better mileage, so it evened out. Still will never trade the Evo though :P I love it. If I won the lotto I wouldn't know wtf to get for a car since I have the one I've wanted for years.

I'm still new to this, but I read somewhere that getting a tune with some basic performance mods can result in a little more power and better gas mileage. Is that true, or do you typically lose mileage with more power? That seems to make more sense to me.
