IX Bumper Intercooler Holes
The ducts are to cool the endtanks and help with heat dissipation.

"Outside, a new front bumper fights aerodynamic lift with an available chin spoiler that increases the low-pressure zone under the nose. Two oval nostrils in the bumper help the intercooler by ramming fresh air around its input and output pipes."
But what do engineers know...

Responses on internet forums always make me giggle a little making my day better.
To the OP I am sure it has been done. The best advice I can offer to maybe see this is to search the show and shine forum. After that possibly the how to section. Asking here will only get you replies that make people like me smile. Unless that is your intention, though I doubt it is, if by chance that is it thanks.

something like that? lol...too bad they arent real, the previous owner put them there for some reason to make it look like there were fogs down there? im gonna remove them when the weather gets warmer

Go for it if thats what YOU want

I doubt it. If you could measure the difference at all, you'd be lucky. The difference by covering those holes would be like driving on a day 1 degree warmer the next day, if that. These holes are similar to the intercooler sprayers they had on the Evo 8's... I tried to measure the differences in power and temps once with and with out it and could not get any statistical difference.... I guess that may be one of the reasons the engineers got rid of it on the 9's. And it never made it back on the 10's either....
I used the these holes in favor of brake ducts:

And no, I could not tell any difference at all by using these holes for something else.

That's exactly it! I kinda wish the aftermarket fogs was pushed back just a bit - but that's alrite. Thanks for your input, I do appreciate it.
