it has to do with any of the solution sandwiched in between the film and the car drying

and wtf you would use rubbing compound on a FILM?!

I've got this on my car, WW, and it definitely has the yellow discoloration mentioned above. Once the weather gets better I'd love to try out a theory I have by using some white vinegar to clean it, but we'll see. It really stands out like a sore thumb and once applied requires constant attention to be kept clean. Remember, I'm speaking from a WW stand point. Idk how much easier it is on other colors.

I've heard some stories of the older 3M films yellowing due to long exposure to sunlight.

Do you park your car outside?

Giving the clear bra a quick application of quick detailer after washing your car will really keep it in good shape.

Also my clear bra installer suggested I use this product:

Yeah. My car is my daily driver and I do not have a garage. She sees alllll the elements. I don't know if my clear bar is discolored beyond saving, but I'll have my detailers take a look at it and see what he says.

The clear bra came with my car when I bought it, and I'm even contemplating getting rid of it if there's no real good solution to getting it COMPLETELY restored to its original form. It sucks because dirt and such gets along the edges and highlights the bra. I guess I'll have to wait until the weather gets better. We'll see what happens.
