There is a thread up here somewhere about that.....if I remember correctly I had to make sure the spot was completely clean (of course) so the adhesive would stick, but fold the paper in half on the back of the lettering and place the exposed half of the lettering on the crease of the trunk - with the L and the T centered under the Mitsubishi Star emblem.....and then press down firmly on the top portion of the letters and gently pull the tape from the bottom portion and press on the clear covering making sure to press firmly on all the letters....Hopefully that helps out but like I said there's a thread in here somewhere with details instructions and pictures
The best way to do it is to use blue painters tape to align things and make sure it is strait. One should go across the trunk on the crease and follow that edge to make sure it is level. Measure out the length of the trunk to find the center then do some simple math to find out how much space you should have on both sides. Take your time and obv make sure the area is clean before you try to attach the lettering. Its not very hard but it does take some patience so go slow and make sure everything is nut before you start sticking.

now i got a lot of wax on my car... would that affect it, and too i live in buffalo, i will of course be doing it inside when the car is warmed up... but should i buff where it is going to go or no. i'm a detailer, and i just want this thing to be peeling off 2 months from now...and also the badging in the lower left of the decklid "Lancer/Evolution" those are just double sided tape correct???

I am a detailer in the same area
. I think you should do some sort of a prep wash(read wax removal) at least to the area to be badged. Get some prepsol or something of the like(I can lend you some if you need) make sure any protective stuff is off because like you should know it will affect the adherence of the tape(well, if its a quality product it will)You should just wait until spring to do once you do your post winter prep.
What wax are you wearing right now
ps. you should be kickin it at BWW watching the fights with us..

I removed the wax from the trunk, used a heat gun to heat the trunk from the inside, and put it on..I still need to remove the old MR emblem and wax the trunk again..was way too cold today
