I was just wonderin if anyone has an EVO breaking barriers into an 8 second 1/4. I know it might be a bit of a stretch but my friend is putting 300 ZX over EVO and I'm a lancer lover so I would like to see if anyone has somethin pushin 8's or faster. This is just for my own personal satisfaction so lets not put a big thing against Nissan lol.

 

there are some japanese evo 6's in the 8's... nothing in the US that fast yes, but give big Al some time, there will be 8 second evo's soon enough, truth is it's tough to get AWD that fast

 

There is one AWD Eclipse in the 8s. And another is pretty damn close. Same engine, weaker drivetrain.

 

David Buschur's RWD drag talon is in the 7's.

 

I hear ya I was just wonderin, but I'd still take an EVO over a twin turbo 300 zx.

 

I have the slowest evo, and I am sure 95% is the drivers fault.

 

Pruven's black evo is going to Sport Compact Car's - Ultimate Street Car Challenge - that is going to be one sicko fast evo - my status as the current fastest evo 8 is comming to a rapid ending !

 

11.6 at 121 that is so damn awesome............I would love to be able to drive a car like that. Is all your stock driveline holding up on your EVO?

 

Do you have any more info. about the EVO 6'S running 8s? Do you have a link?

Just wanted to point out that if you're talking about elapsed time, the subject of the thread should really be "Quickest EVO?" rather than "Fastest EVO?" ...

 

Who car is this with the weaker drivetrain? If your talking about John Shepherd his drivetrain is stronger than Sean Glazer's.

i seriously doubt that pruven evo will win scc event. in fact, i have my money on it not even finishing top 3. no flame, there are just too many fast cars there, i think evo is out-classed. then again, i have no idea what kinda monster pruven black evo is... in your honest opinion how do you think they will do?

Pruven placed 4th overall with a DRAG CAR!!!
that says a lot for a 1/4 drag car able to finish in that place compared to the other cars..
