i got a friend who beats on his evo every day day in and day out just so something can break and have his mom upgrade the broken what ever .... been doing it for a little over a year only thing he has is a twin disk

You just should have been patient and found the right evo, it took me alomost 4 months to find one i liked.

I have a IX MR and I get carried away with what many Evo guys say when they knock me for my 6 speed tranny being weaker than the 5 speed....I believe it, but I'm happy with my IX MR and the 6 speed has not given up on me, and I have 25,000 miles and a good amount of mods on my Evo and I drive it very hard at times. If you're reasonably happy with your STi, keep it. If you must have an Evo, than I would private sell your STi and then find the Evo you want. Good luck with your decision!!!

keep it. how much of a difference are you really expecting? Maybe if you were hardcore into track/road racing, it'd be worth it, but otherwise you're going to lose a lot of money on everything you put into your subie
