2-Step Launch Control

I'm having a difficult time understanding why the car would come from the factory with this feature when all it does (according to all the posts I've read) is eat up the internals of the car (cluch/tranny/etc.). Has anyone used the 2-step feature with and not found it to cause near immediate damage? Thanks guys.

It's actually a feature built into the ECU so you don't destroy the t-case/tranny. The stock clutch/restrictor/clutch line also help aid in in the process.

If you do it correctly the majority of the damage is straight to the clutch, it will eat your clutch for sure because your slipping it, and if you do it wrong it will eat your t-case and so on, (I'm reffering to launching)
