exactly what im doing haha. but first im going emailing the company saying it came like this and i just received it cause i was overseas, cause theres still a 1 year wrrty and ive only had it for 2 months...but if not im removing the plastic

ok i had some spray paint on it cause i was painting some pieces in my interior...so i said...ok acetone removes paint...so i tried it and yes it was dumb. luckily its a little boost gauge

take responsibility for your mistakes

i hardly doubt they will even take it back or when they get it back charge you for the new one they sent you. they arent stupid and will know it didnt come like that...

try a little bit of automotive goo gone with a soft cloth. it might help. good luck with the gauges

i thought they wetsand plastic and then put clear over it or something like that to get rid of the yellowish lens on headlights? same thing might work for you... but honestly idk

its not a cluster its a 52mm boost gauge

lets see if i can follow you here
1.you were attempting to spray paint interior panels
2. you were spray painting them with the panels still in the car
3. your careless idea cause you to overspray onto a gauge
4. you attempted to clean it up with acetone, ruining the plastic
5. you are going to try to return the gauge you destroyed, hoping they warranty it

good luck with that. my advice sell your evo and buy a cavalier. painted interior panels on a cavi are fresh to death.

your not gonna be able to wetsand this out of the lens.... once acetone hits it, it basically changes the properties of the plastic to a much much more brittle material, and the haze goes deep into the plastic. this isnt foggy headlights, thats completely different, i believe thats called oxidation, not 100% sure tho

PS warranties only cover manufacturer defects, not negligence of the consumer...
