What is this part I found in my evo?

I found this part on the floor by the pedals, it was loose not attached to anything. I have no idea what it is and where it came from. I dynamated my doors a week ago, so I think it might be from inside the door panel, but I didn't see it when I took it apart. Thanks.

^ This.

It goes on the firewall, right where the gas pedal would touch if you floor it.

Just leave it where it was if you can. It doesn't make your car faster if you remove it. Just incase you were wondering.

It was there for a reason put it back under the gas pedal it keeps you from stretching or breaking the cable.

Yep , thats the gas pedal stopper.
It keeps you from damaging your cable or TB..
I would put it back on..
I took mine off and dremeled about half an inch off of it, so it would let me mash the pedal further.
But if you do that, then dont take off too much or it will stretch the cable..
which is bad...

Isn't it much easier to just adjust the cable under the hood if the cable is stretched?
