disconnect the negative terminal on your battery for a few minutes.

There is no way to reset that light unless you know someone with an SRS scanner. Those are pretty expensive. A local bodyshop may have one.

For me, I have a body shop near home where I bring only the SRS module and they reprogramme it for around 35-50 bucks. You can do some search on google too, theire some place where you can send the module and they return it overnight.

The battery trick works but if theres actually a problem as soon as you connect it and start the car its going to throw the code again, autozone has a code reader you can use for free tho then you can fix w/e it is. I wouldnt reccomend getting anything that just turns it off cuse then youll never know if you have a real problem.

so for instance when u disconnect ur headlight, and reset the battery , do u think the srs light will go off? because i tried to, and it didn;t clear it last time. i had to take it to the dealer.

If there's no actual problem with the system, but the light comes on because of mistakes made during whatever install, disconnecting both terminals on the battery should do the trick.

That only works for the SES light NOT the SRS light. The SRS system has a battery backup that will keep the indicator on no matter what you do to the battery.

Correct!. People need to learn that.
If your SRS light is on, I hope that your airbags system will work if you end up getting in an accident, I hope you know what you are doing if you are disabling the system.

Wrong. You cannot clear the SRS light unless you have a SRS scanner. Dealer or body shop are your best options
