yeah i daily drive my 03 VIII in all weather conditions (wish i had the extra money for a civic to keep the mileage low). purchased with 68k on her at the end of august and now have a little over 85k on her with a trip from cincinnati to daytona beach for bike week/spring break.

Never going to happen bro. That was all hype thanks to racing movies and what not. Our cars are amazing, but they will never be worth any more than we paid for them no matter how many miles they DON'T have on them or how stock they are. As much as the car guy in me likes Supras/FD's/NSX's/etc I don't understand why someone would ever pay two or even three times the sticker price on one.

I bought my old RX-7 from some old guy in SC for 4 grand less than BB. It was bone stock in perfect condition with less than 20k miles on it. I couldn't see paying some stupid hyped up price just because the cars were featured in a couple racer boy movies.

Besides, I never want to see the Evo turn into the over boosted trailer/garage/show queens that most of the built supras are now a days. Sad actually. Cool, your supra makes 1100hp, but you can't drive it anywhere. You spent how much building it?

Dude, THUMBSUP!!! You bought an Evo to drive it, not let it sit in a garage, right? I've only been driving my Evo for 7 months (bought it 18 months ago while in Iraq) and when I got it it had 3k miles, I'm about to turn 28k. I drive 94 miles to see my gf/son every weekend one way, then 94 back. Plus I drive alot.

I don't know about you but I bought my car to drive, not look pretty in my garage.

Mullen, how does he have an 03 with 800 miles? Sounds like HPA in VC that bought like 4 .:R32's back in 04 (vws, not skylines) and kept one sitting in the corner of the shop with less than 200 miles on it.

I have a IX MR I bought 2 years ago (4 April 2007) and the milage just hit 5,750. The car lives in my garage most days since I ride a scooter to work (I live in Hawaii).

oh, also, silicone the door seals if they are in long term storage. if you have a moonroof, check the brackets that attach to the actual glass, those can rust.

mines an 03 w/ 65k on the clock. I switched jobs in January and I went from driving 3 miles to work to driving almost 30... I get sad everytime i get on the highway to go to work because im racking up miles and not driving it how it's supposed to be driven. Mine is a true DD...Just have it and the cbr...so if its not nice enough for the bike the car gets driven...rain, snow, w/e. Atleast it gets a garage to sleep in at night...lol

Not too much longer to go though
