clicking, need help

since saturday morning, i have had this clicking or a knock coming from something on my car, i thought it was maybe my swaybar endlinks or something but everything seems to be tight... It only makes the noise when i let off the gas, makes acouple knocks and goes away my girlfriend said she can feel it on her feet in the passenger seat when it happens and i think i can feel it in the pedal as well... hit the gas again nothing, but when i let off to coast it does it again... i have turned the wheel side to side so i dont think its anything to do with that... no leak in my struts and ride is not affected... anyone have any idea what it could be?! ive had it on the lift twice and cant find anything, so hopefully someone has a similar story or something could give me some ideas!! thanks guys!!

Are the knocks rhythmic? If so, then whatever is loose is getting energized to a harmonic when the drivetrain unloads. How are your engine & tranny mounts?

I think you're gonna need to put it on a lift again and do more looking.

Based on the location, that could be the tiebar that goes between the lower L arms, banging up and down. That piece is long and springy, so if it's loose, bc a bolt came off for example, it could make the noise.

I had some strange rattles that were like that, turns out my dp was banging on the tiebar when I let off the gas.

G'luck, let us know what you find.

I'm sure you already checked, but make sure you don't have a broken motor mount. Had the same type of experience when the bushing started to fail.

Could be the exhaust rattling/banging off something upon deceleration... do you have stock motor mounts?

i had a wierd vibration last night in my car to. it seemed like it only happened when i down shifted and was slowing down would happen for less that 1k rpms. like from 4-3k and that was it like in 3rd, 2nd and sometimes in 1st. this happened last night and nothing this morning. I just don't know. However I went home and checked my lugs (rotated tires this weekend) and the front two wheels needed re-torqued. so maybe that was it.

well i have it on the lift right now... and cant find ANYTHING loose... motor mounts are perfect... driveshaft is a bit unbalanced... so maybe it is that... but it doesnt really make a noise and doesnt vibrate... im just going to loosen everything and bolt it all back in... see if that helps
