Wink Best & Worst thing about Evo

Hello. I'm a new member who is planning to get an Evo next year. I had a Supra with 500+hp until last week. I had to leave it at home coz I was leaving for college and it's curretly for sale now. I'm probably gonna get a new car in May/June of next year and I'm sort of wanting something new. So I just want some input from evo owners. What would you say if you were to pick one best thing and one worst thing about the Evo? How is the reliability so far? Can you make 400+awhp w/o any concerns about reliability? Thanks in advance for answering my questions and hope to be another Evo owner next year!

Worst thing is no cruise control for those long road trips besides that there is nothing to complain about or atleast that is my opinion.

Reliability good but not as good as Honda IMHO

Best Thing - Ultimate bang for buck
Worst Thing - Frequently induces wanton disregard for posted speed limits and Newton's law of physics.

Just curious, but why would you want a Supra? looking at your sig I'd say you're better off with the EVO. Supraforums.com is down, but there was a post about what the fastest time for a Supra was on actual street tires (No drag radials or ET streets), and it was in the 11.5 range. These were cars with 650-800rwhp too, all the power for nothing if you're caught without the 15" ET streets.

worst - no 6 speed (5th gear accel is ok, but not great...needs more cogs) and the no cruise control (mentioned above).

Best - can hang with almost any car at the dragstrip, road course (provided it has no huge straightaways), hauls people and will go in the snow with some different tires! Great all around car.

Reminds me of an old joke from the RX7 board about Supras.

What does a 500HP, 600HP and 700HP Supra all have in common?

They all run 11s

highs: roomy back seat, great front seats, wonderful lights, will hang with any other car on the road (provided it's not completely straight)

lows: no cruise control, attracts more attention then ideal, less the stellar low end power, sorta noisy & cheap interior

Best: Great Buck for buy. Funny to watch a Mustang Cobra Cry instead of roar
Worst: Could give you neck pain and frequent headaches, and could hurt those hard core racers feelings when you consistantly beat them.
