the plug will arrive in about 4 days and its free!

Has a pretty good seal. I notice after a 2 hour heavy rain only about a teaspoonful of water had gotten in and this is with putting no sealant on the flanges. I am going to seal it and that should take care of that little bit of water.
FYI, this no longer works. Here's the email I received:

Good afternoon,

Please make note that this part number and a few others have been tagged as "invalid" as we are listed on a few automobile website for "free samples" with no intended follow up or orders. This particular part number was traced back to the evolutionm.net automobile blog. I will be posting this same thing on the evolutionm site for others to see

You can purchase this part at a company called McMaster Carr. They carry small packs and will sell to the public. I have attached the part list. You will have to buy a larger pack but it would be cheaper for you but them and sell to the other car enthusiast cheaper then I can. Sure the sample may be free but the postage adds up on all the request I receive.

If you feel inclined to do so create a post to inform other car enthusiast that no more samples will be sent out. I do hope you find what you are looking for.

Thank you

eh, its all personal taste. In an environment where it doesnt rain much then no biggie. But here in the NW i'd be apprehensive to remove the wiper.

I work at a Porsche dealer. The 944's have a rear wiper plug which consists of 5 items. 39-42 are the item #'s on this link. I think the price is around 50.00 though for it all. If interested let me know. I don't know the size of the hole in the glass it's plugging either. On that I'd have to order in one of those #40 grommets and measure that for you. If I can help let me know.

Go to page 254 after clicking this link.

I needed a back window when I got my 8. ended up getting lancer glass with no wiper hole installed for around 250ish. then it was off to remove the wing and shave the holes. To each his own but I love the clean look. I could have sworn I had seen a wiper removal plug on ebay recently...
