are members mostly dropping their rides on springs or coils? I was leaning towards springs being on a budget, any recommendations?

function and driver skill will get me where i want to be and form matters not. thats for a sponsor(s) to decide lol.

for function most guys do coilovers and some go crappy with tien springs(throw away handling and get good looks).

but swift makes the spec r springs that are supposed to match the factory shocks very well with handling in mind and still give you a little drop.

GTWorx springs on Stock Evo MR Biltseins. I put a set on mine and the difference in handling was noticable and also got rid of that terrible clunk sound going over the low speed bumps.

I still vote both, although i agree that the bulk of your Evo $ should go to function.

Anyone who claims to have no preference for FORM is a straight liar. If this were the case they wouldn't care if some one keyed the bejesus out of their Evo at the local wally world parking lot (which is only cosmetic damage). Obviously, ALL car guys/gals care about the "form" of their vehicles. While some choose not to modify the appearance of their cars from the factory spec, I think everyone who considers themselves a sports car enthusiast can appreciate beautiful form. In my opinion, the most beautiful thing about cars is that they can have both function and form, and the vehicles that have a lot of both, are the most attractive to me. I think of a sports car as a work of "functional" art. Even if a sports car is 100% composed of functional performance enhancements, the overall picture is something that can be admired even from a non technical perspective.

i think it would ruin the looks of the car to change the front bumper and to put one of the giant time attack wings on it..but a nice set of wheels and good set of coilovers is the only things i would do as for looks on the exterior
