Lights stopped blinking when remote locks doors.
Lights stopped blinking when remote locks doors.
On an '05 VIII, my doors lock with one push of the "Lock" button on my keyring remote. The horn beeps, and the turn signals used to blink twice when I did this. The signals stopped flashing, but I still hear the beep. When I unlock the doors using the remote, the signals flash once, works fine just as it always has. The signals work perfectly fine otherwise. (using directionals and hazards)
I don't know much about electrical and I've tried to search, but wasn't getting anything.
Any suggestions on where to start looking for a problem?
edit, just saw this:

I bought my Evo used off a lease, there was no manual. It looks like a simple fix. Anyone know how do change it back so the lights go on?

...Mitsubishi customer service had no idea and asked me to call a dealership. The dealership told me they have no clue, BUT to come in and they could reset the remote for $91!!!!!!!!
...anyone?
...anyone?
I called Brad Benson Mitsu in NJ. A little old lady stayed on the phone with me for like 15 minutes and we finally figured it out. She was thrilled that we finally got it....
They didn't ask for a VIN or anything personal, I just explained it and she wanted to help. Awesome customer service there...
For future reference:
hold unlock, wait 4 seconds, then hold lock (while still holding unlock), then within 10 seconds, release lock, then wait 4 then release unlock.
$91, yeah sure.........
