Carbon fiber hood

Hi i wanted to buy an oem cf hood but all the ones ive seen dont have the normal stock vent. like the seibon one has a silver mesh grill. anyone know where i can buy one with the stock vent thing or if theres a place to buy the stock vent and then ill buy the seibon hood and put the vent on it.

i dont have a hood right now. cause it was all messed up in an accident. so i cant use the vent from my old hood

You can use the stock vent on a Seibon CF hood. I held the top mesh on and took the bottom aluminum piece and held it up on the bottom part of the hood then took big washers and put them over the threads and screwed the nuts on. Gave it a nice secure hold just don't tighten too tight. Sorry, don't have pictures because I no longer have my CF hood

I would suggest hood pins as well. I had the sparco stainless ones and it didn't look bad like most people would think. The OEM mesh isn't too small for the Seibon CF hood, it just has nothing to hold onto. When I used my method of securing it with the aluminum vent, it didn't look bad at all when I popped the hood. RICAN RED 4G63, do you mind posting pics of your results?

A good question regarding hood pins... has anyone known an Evo hood poopin up. I have a Seibon hood too. I know the stock hood compared to the Seibon weight wise is practically the same (unfortunatley).

I have the VIS one, OEM Style, and it comes with a new fiberglass piece that looks just like the stock vent sheet metal piece. It looks and fits great!

My Seibon had that too, but is it an actual vent? Or just for decoration? The Seibon was not actually vented, which decreased cooling through the hood.

should have matched the CF pattern on those hood pins

looks pretty good. I think there's another kind that's similar without showing the "metal" part. Expansive though.
