Carbon fiber hood

oh a question:

Has anyone painted the hood pins black or something like that? I don't think I've seen anyone have a black hood pin to blend in with the CF....

I used the stock vent on my Seibon hood and it's a tigher fit for sure but it's on there nicely with the rain panel thing too.

I'm not using hood pins. The front latch seems way tighter/more secure than the stock hood and the weight difference isn't that much. I know it's better to use them but so far for the driving I do I'm not going to bother. The hood seems on there way tight.

you dont need hood pins.. from what I remember the stock AL hood is 2 lbs lighter than carbon fiber

Not really a big fan of cf hoods since we have snow here. My last cf hood was crappy after 2 winters here.

I did the same thing Bsander did about 2 yrs ago. I wasn't gonna pay $300+ to buy a new mesh or have someone install it.
