SEIBON carbon hood question.

I am going to purchase a carbon hood for my MR, and I was wondering if anyone knows if the SEIBON OEM-style hood accepts the factory hood vent (not the mesh). I have a Ralliart hood vent, and would like to use it on the carbon hood. I emailed SEIBON directly, and I got this:

"Sorry but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to help you on this one. On this
case I rather tell you the truth that we do not know then to make a guess
for it. Hope you understand. Thank you.

Seibon Carbon"

Weird. All they would have to do is walk out and look at the damn hood and see if it has the holes or not!

Anyway, if anyone can give me the answer on this one, I would really appreciate it. If the SEIBON hood will not accept it, does anyone know of a carbon hood that does?

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

My Seibon hood has no mounting points of any type. The mesh is held in by wire that's in the fiber and resin. So I would net the rest of their hoods are the same. Maybe some one else can chime in to verify this true. Based on their customer service, I might think of going somewhere else just because.

You would have to drill your own holes and use a little imagination to secure the vent. I've got this hood, and I just have the wire mesh (without the vent).

Since you have a Ralliart vent it is probably worth the effort to get it fitted. Just know it's gonna take a little elbow grease.

Yea, I was pretty disappointed in the customer service as well. I have the SEIBON carbon trunk, and it fits so nicely that I wanted their hood as well. But if I have to, I will go somewhere else. And truDriver, I agree with you, it would be worth the extra effort to make it work. I wasn't sure if there was even a good place to drill holes. Thanks, guys.
