Would you rent an Evo??

Hey would you guys with no Evo or if you have one but did'nt have one, would you rent an Evo? The reason I ask is because I work at an Exotic sports car rental business and the owner (my boss) was asking me if he should get an Evo to rent out. I didnt know what to say say i was just like "yea i think so" , because i dont know if the same people who rent Lambos and Ferraris and bentleys would want to rent an Evo. Do any of you guys think he should for it , or is it a bad idea?

I don't think those rich people would rent and Evo. It would mainly be the same people who buy Evo's who rent them. Plus, they'd be driven to the fullest, if you know what I mean. I don't know how long they'd last. If I was your company, no I wouldn't get an Evo. If I was still an Evo future buyer, I would love to have one for a few days to blast around .

Rental cars get abused no matter what. However, the only problem about rental Evo is that there are gonna be some ppl trying 7000rpm launches... a lot of broken trans I say.

I was just gonna say that.

someguy down here opened up an exotic car rental shop and got a brand new evo 7, well the clutch was gone before the car was even broken in. dont think the car will last more than a year.

people who rent lambos and ferrari's want class and something they can show off with not necessarily drive fast, somebody renting and evo is purely for speeding reasons and hard driving.

I would rent one.

While I was in San Jose for 3 weeks on business, I wanted to rent something for a drive down the coast and to Monterey Bay. I searched for some exotic car rental places and didn't want to spend $400-$600 a day on a Viper or whatever.

I missed my Evo (many miles away from it), so I would have gladly paid that much to rent an Evo and drive down highway 1!

However, I agree that the Evo would probably get pretty abused. I would love to try a 6k launch, but not in my car.......

you could rent an Evo for much less then a Viper/Porsche/Ferrari - so you might have a market there... I know of a couple of rental agencies in Vegas that rent 3000GT Sypders & stuff of that nature... I have to imagine that you could force the renters to sign a waver saying that they would be responsible for any damage done to the car, and with a good relationship with the local Mitsubishi dealership you could have it checked out pretty regularly.
