custom mods...?

just wondering if any evo owners have gotten creative and built/fabricated any of their own custom mods. if so what are they? post pictures. i am very interested in what the evo community has been up to.

or... does anyone have their own ideas/designs about a custom mod they want to make or plan on making in the future? what is it?

now on the other hand, what are things/mods that the public would like to see made for their evo that hasnt been made yet?

This is a cool thread with a lot of custom work: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...3076build.html

A lot of people nowadays are making more stuff themselves. The welding/fab section has a lot of good stuff too.

the only thing i fabed on my evo was my exhaust and o2 dump.

i have a DC sports cat back, i cut the resonator out and welded a 3" peice of stainless pipe like a test pipe, and un bolted the DC sport muffler and welded a flange to an HKS muffler and put it on lol

my o2 dump pipe was burning threw the straps on the dyno, so i welded a 90* elbow on it so the wastgate gases go under the car, but thats it.

I used a shoe lace to prevent rattle from the hvac and din panel. Tied to the hvac controls and then to some metal inside the dash. worked great!

I also used a piece of carbon fiber pre-cut for the cubby to mount an ipod dock. Sadly my ex girlfriend broke off the dock while violently removing the ipod from it. It looked pretty good though. Every time I shifted into 3rd I could move my hand right over to the ipod and change a song if need be, didn't even have to look down. It looked great too

When the parts you order doesn't seem to work but needs some little mods, it's always better than buying new parts. Done it all the time
