My ralliart used to shock me everytime i got out, but im sure it was static and some times it would be loud enough to hear the pop but if you touch it again nothing would happen, have you changed laundry dryer sheets or anything?

Anyone have any idea's ? Ive been through wiring to check but Im thinking it might be that leak in the driver's side boot ? I checked the boots inside the door jam and they were all fine along with the wires unders the side panels at the drivers side door.

Im going to keep checking just weird though see if anyone has any ideas.
experimented huh bet that was a fun experiment haha

If your door is somehow electrically charged, you wouldn't have to sit in your car and then get back out for it to shock you. Turn your car on, stand outside of the car, and touch the door. If it shocks you, touch it again. If you get shocked twice in a row while standing outside of your car, then you may have a problem. Otherwise, take the advise that has been offered by others posters on how to avoid static.

Also, if you're worried that the door is possibly building up a static charge over time while you're driving it, drive around for a little while and then get out of your car, touch something metal to discharge yourself and then touch your door. If you still get shocked, then you know it's not you.
