7 rear or JDM??
Don't know if it's been mentioned, as i'm too lazy to read all these posts, but there is a guy in Socal that converted his 8 exterior to at 7. looks dope as he is rock'n it ralli style.
your car isn't the hypermax EVO though. it doesn't have the rear bumper, and it's not that fast. it's just an EVO with half the rear bumper missing. looks like you gave a retard that's blind in one eye a dremel and said "do your worst." that rear bumper just looks stupid. if i were you, i'd just tell people i got rear ended until i could buy a new stock bumper or JDM rear. i wouldn't be going around letting people know that was done on purpose.

I prefer the VII, because it looks like it belongs with the groove that goes all along the side. The stock VIII/IX and the JDM IX look like they came off a different car and just were stuck on.
A little OT but where do people get the VII front bumpers to do the conversion? I'm guessing that it fits exactly the same as the stock 8/9 front bumper??

Wellll 2x2..all the seibon companies that I have talked to they come in 2x2..i have a ViS front, that came in 2x2, all the rear diffusers for the IX and VII, they are 2x2...guess everyone has their own pref..I like the way it looks in the sun, got a goldish look to it, goes with my rims. And its a more aggressive look IMO.
On the other hand I do think I am going IX rear...just got a good deal on that and trunk...and the VII no one is shipping them to the US for a whiiiile and I need to get this rear end damage fixed asap. Unless someone can point me in a direction to order a VII then shoot it to me.

I actually traded my 8 with the 7 I have now and I guess just got lucky..and made my custom lip....The bumper bolts up fine besides little issues with of course the undertray...I took it off..and you have to modify the crash beam...i just took it off cause I dunno what to modify on that..havent done to much research on it ha.
