How should I build my daily driver 10 second evo 9 MR?
I am having buschur racing build my car and I was wondering what are the best upgrades to get my car to a 10 second daily driver. I already have stage 1 and 2 complete and I have a 255 walbro fuel pump. thanks.
It might be better to go for a power goal as opposed to 1/4 time goal. 1/4 time will largely depend on power, weight, driver ability, and a couple ticks here and there based on conditions at the strip, altitude, etc. Of course there are other things to consider such as transmission and clutch as well as suspension and rubber, and of course, the fuel you'd be running.
I mention all of the above as you will see 2 cars that seem similar but ET and trap will be different. Right now my IX MR is at 386whp/356tq on stage3+ (got the ARP studs already, but not upgraded injectors) + 50/50 meth. I haven't been to the track at this point but I mentioned suspension earlier as it would be nice to keep things more flat when tq hits.
You will definitely need upgraded cams (plenty of choices there) and then you can start thinking bigger injectors (and whether E85 is a good option for you based on location) and a turbo. Obviously you would want to be tuned for all of this, preferably in-person like a road tune or a dyno tune. Again, there are still other things to consider (including porting work done), but that should get the power there, and then some.
BTW - you can find a lot of this info by searching. Good luck with your goals!
*edit - you'll need a larger FMIC too - forgot that was part of stage 3.
