odd question, WTB evo 4-7

So I'm about to pay my evo off. I convinced my wife to let me buy another evo, I really want a 4-7 preferably a 6.

I have looked at modifiedcartrader.com but that site looks kinds shady and I don't know how reputable it is.

How do people buy these? Is it just luck of the draw?

if you want it to be street legal you are going to have to find loop holes

if you want a dedicated track car it can be done but the car can never be registered as a street car

very timely thread....I have a highly modifed but Uk road legal Evo 6 and is a possibility I could be forced to move to the USA later this year. I wantedt o bring it with me but would be no point of not able to be road legal.
What are the main issues with converting Uk legal road cars into US legal road cars?

thx in adv

If you get a good answer to this I'm all ears. Most people that have the "real" answers on how to import certain cars don't usually share the information. There are basics that a lot of people seem to know, but fully legitimate answers seem to hard to come by.

my sister lives in japan. she lives pretty close to tokyo. my brother in law would be the one to talk to i guess.

i just want to know how these people with 6 TME's get away with having them in the states. they must know someone and register it as a mirage or something.

the reason i want to buy one that is already in the states is because i dont want to go through the registration crap.

oh, and my wife loves me, thats how i convinced her. worst case scenario i'll just buy an 8 and get the evo 7 facia from z1auto.com

+1 for the ppl that mentioned that it's hard to find legit answers on the subject i've been doing some research, by looking at the gov't websites it seems very possible but when i start looking at other message boards it seems like there are a lot of little details.

There are a lot of details involved. I looked into it in great depth a few years ago and decided to forgo the effort and cost. The system is pretty much set up to discourage people from importing any vehicle. I believe if I remember correctly you can hire an import specialist that supposidly will make the process much easier.

Although highly illegal that would work to get it registered. Then what do you do about getting it inspected every year?
