Thx JRock for your info. I am uploading the following files to ftp.timzcat.com/uploads
(user/pwd: evom / evom):

r6b_hks_hi_pow_jdm.MOV
r6b_vishnu_stg_0_1.MOV
r6b_vishnu_stg_0_2.MOV
r6b_hks_hi_pow_usdm.MOV

The USDM clip's sound isn't very good, I'll probably see if I can re-record another one later this week...

sorry I know I might be a little off topic, but I remain near... I wanted to know if the HKS Hi-Power cat-back was actually better than the HKS Carbon-Ti... What are the differences, what makes one better than the other?

I was thinking about buying a Carbon-Ti, but this thread has got me a lil' confused...

Thanks!

carbon-ti is actually better because the piping used for it is stainless steel as with the hi-power its only mild steel not unless you go for the 30th version which is full stainless like the carbon-ti.
hi-power:regular cat-back
30th anniv. hi-power:full stainless cat-back
carbon-ti:top of the line w/carbonfiber wrapped on the titanium muffler

THanks a lot Evo dadi!

By the way, does the stock Evo 8 Cat fit bolt on with the carbon-Ti? and the DP at the other end? Or should I go for a hi-flow cat? (dont wanna have a test pipe or cat-delete...)

fits perfectly as long as everything's all installed right.my friend for now has the carbon-ti and is waiting for his hks dp.getting a high flow cat would also benefit you since the overall piping diameter will be bigger than stock.mines running a rmr turboback with perrin cat-delete so its a full 3" all the way.just keep your stock cat just in case you get questioned why you have a new or different cat.

Welcome aboard! We do get together from time to time. There are a few places where you can usually find some Evo fellows:

Tue nite, around 9pm - Krispy Kream @ Union City (aka KKUC)

Wed nite, around 7pm - Austin (aka evoturbo131)'s Tapioca Inernet Cafe @ So SF.

Of course, sometimes some local vendors will fire up the grill and host a BBQ event. As I recall, Vishnu and GB Motorsports did that early this year, and they got around 10 Evos plus some other cool cars showed up.

Works is going to host one next month. I bet there'll be quite a few Evo owner show up on the Works meet...

Happy reving... and hope to see you soon!

My Carbon-Ti cat back will be at my door on Monday. I paid $723 before shipping. I'll be ordering the HKS DP in about a week or two.

Just a question. Will the Perrin cat delete fit the HKS DP and cat back?

What exactly would be the power gains with the Carbon-Ti and DP ? Has HKS provided a dyno run graph to anyone who bought it? Has anyone Dynoed their Evo after installing these?

Corey : I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Perrin delete Pipe is slightly smaller in diameter... maybe a lil' custom job would do the trick...
