Temp Control

I turned up the heat in the car yesterday for the first time - getting cool here in the Twin Cities, - and noticed that temp control knob action is very notchy and imprecise. Is this normal? Thanks.

Mine's the same, I think you can only set it onto some preset, spaced out positions. But this doesn't seem to be an issue of concern, I can live with it just fine.
