Last night me and a bunch of cars were headin to westbury for the car meet and we had a caravan or 11 cars and 3 bikes. we were drivin after meetin up at exit 63 and got to about 62 maybe 61 and i was in the left lane (passing lane) and 4 of our cars were in the same lane and the acura which i jus met that night went from bout 60-65 to 40!!! and the Sti stopped, the Cobra stopeed and the turbo Civic stopped BUT i was behind the 2008 turbo civic and was lookin to my right about to change lanes and there was heavy traffic as well and i looked away for literally 2 seconds and see the civic braking so i nail on my brakes they lock up and i swerve to the right but caught his right rear fender. Ive talked to the kid be4 so its not a stranger and exchanged numbers. now we agreed to cash cuz i thought it was gonnna be about $800 he got 2 estimates and the lowest one was $1375. I dont have that kind of cash i called my aunt and she works for an insurance company and sai i should file a police report then do a claim and then have him call my insurance and file a claim against me and my insurance will pay for it. his mom doesnt like the deal and doesnt even wanna meet up wit me and my dad to discuss it she jus said she wants the money by tommorow cash or credit or shes filing a report and havin her insurance company sue my company. 1, wouldnt she still have to pay for her rates to go up, 2. if mine will cover it shouldnt i jus do that. if anyone had the same experience pls put ur input on wat i should do tonight im goin to the precint to file a report and calling the insurance tommorow!! wat should i do as well as the other kid?! hes workin wit me he said his mom jus wants the money and thats it.

is he over 18? if he is... tell his mom to stay out of your guys business... she has no say, and she cant sue you for him.. he will have to do that for himself... i would pimp slap her, lol!

Just file a claim. LMFAO what is she going to sue for exactly? and if she does it wouldnt be worth it. Just file the claim with ur insurance and let them pay for your damage and theirs, thats why u have insurance

 

if she sues thats not your problem so idk why she is threatening you exactly....if she sued they will sue ur insurance company and that has nothing to do with you.

call insurance cuz you have yourself about 3-5k in parts and labor waiting for you, just on your car alone....

Having her insurance company sue your insurance company doesn't make sense. She's either just trying to sound threatening to you or she doesn't know what she's talking about. Either way, I wouldn't worry to much about her. Just file the claim with your insurance company and have them take care of it.

You haven't done anything wrong because you and the guy you hit are talking about the situation, so it's not like there was a hit and run. If she has the Civic titled in her name, or the guy you hit is under 18, then his mom can file a claim with your insurance company before you and the other guy reach an agreement on how you want to work this out. That's really all she can threaten you with at this point.

Everyone has said it already. Just file a claim. If anything, they are gonna have to give you more money for your parts. If you equal everything out, they will be paying you.

EX: You owe them $1400.00, they owe you $2,500. Equal it out and they owe you $1,100.

Anyways, just file a claim. Have them take care of everything with no money out of your pocket.

 

I bet the other guy only has liability, he's like **** I gotta pay out of my pocket or scam the other dude with my crazy ***** mom.
Don't be the other guy, who cares if you know him. Business is business, just call the cops, tell them what happened and file the report, but first call the other dude and tell him to meet you at the police station, if he refuses then f it and go yourself with digital pics in hand. Also you should imediatly call your insurance company and tell them that your gonna file a claim. It's never to late to do the above, at the heat of he moment your mind isn't clear and you start making a **** load of mistakes.

Thanks guys his mom i think was jus tryin to threaten me cuz i told the kid i would talk to my dad my dad completely agreed wit me and as soon as i told him hes on my side so i asked for his policy too but he told me his mom said u cant do that so now hes doin wat i originally said, jus tryin to scare me thanks though guys!! i might try and get a CF lip and CF hood instead of the stock ones though cuz theyre prob close to the same price
