Hit and Run
Make a claim with UPS.
Happened with a friends door, and another's TC. They paid the full amount for it once he threatened to sue.
Plus, A door is maybe what 300? 400 max.. if you look around on Car-part.com..Sure you can find a deal.
Painting it at a bodyshop, unless its some high-pride shop that think they are the best, hey wont charge over 150.
Nowhere near a "thousand dollar job".
Take a picture of the door. Nothing is every beyond repair unless its torn apart. I doubt UPS tore it apart. I had a door frame completely bent on a previous car, but it was straightened out, molding done, and painted. Looked brand new

Package wasn't insure so UPS is going to cut me $100 check and that's it. Painting will cost $500 becasue they will have to blend it with front door and rear quarter panel.
Here are pics of the door that came. It's bent on black part at top and front bottom corner. Do you think a body shop can fix these?

UPS is notorious for this. If the package isn't insured, they will drop it. Hell, I've had them drop a package that WAS insured for $1000 and then refuse to pay because they said I packed it improperly. The package was inspected and it was deemed that it was sufficiently packed and that UPS was negligent. They were supposed to have someone contact me, but it was nothing more than red tape. I use FedEx exclusively now. UPS has lost my trust with their horrible service and ethics.
Did UPS or a UPS Store package it? If so they should cover the damage. The door wasn't package according to UPS guidelines (a box inside of a box with adequate packaging material in both boxes.)
