Why Does the 9 JDM Rear Come With That BIG Hole?

Im just wondering why they have that huge hole for, dont they have same size plates as us? is there a cover thats missing?

I was under the impression it was designed to accommodate European plates too, which are wider than our plates.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, but JDM plates are the same as ours. Euro plates on the other hand seems like what the bumper was made for.



Heres a JDM plate I'm pretty sure.

No, the european bumper is different. They do not have the huge hole like the JDM.

I just bought a new european one....

That doesn't look any different then my JDM 9 rear....

Maybe without the plate but from your pics it looks completely the same with the plate. :/

there is no hole behind the plate. on the jdm one there is a hole all the way onto the black portion of the bumper.

Interesting do you have a picture without the plate? lol Because with the plate the bumpers look exactly the same.

sorry, i don't. i'd run out and take off the plate for a pic, but i'll let you in on a little secret. the piece that i screw the plate in is held in place by some zip ties and 3m tape. i don't wanna mess with it in fear my plate won't go back on.

haa if your so worried about the holes just make a cf plate like i did no hole. but like the picture earlier looks like it more made for the euro plates etc.
