Hit And Run!!

I woke up yesterday morning (which was gorgeous) excited. i was going for a ride in my wonderful white evo parked in my parking lot. but as i approach the driver's door from the back i see that my car is no longer completely wonderful or completely white. someone backed into my left quarter panel with a black SUV and bounced. there a sad permanently pressed into my face and a nice dent about to be imprinted into my wallet (to match the one on my car). Watch over your evos people and protect them from douchebags... they will strike when you least expect, even at home!

sucks man...but really, short of placing a security camera to cover every corner of your car, people will always ding your car and get away with it. unless a good samaritan catches them and tells you.

Yep, mine has been dinged and hit before. No one seems to care either, they just drive away like nothing happened. Ruins a perfectly good day... It saddens me. You can try and park away from other people or you can park in well lit areas but that doesn't guarantee anything.

I usually take pics if they park close or if it looks like they might be the type to hit my car (like if they have dents and other cars paint) when i parked the car there were no cars in the adjacent spots.

thanks for the support guys. its looking like with the frame work, body work, bumper and quarter panel its looking about $1k-$2k depending on which shop i choose

Sorry to hear that dude...my buddy's Evo got keyed in the parking lot last week and he is livid! To top it off the scratches on his passenger side door read ENVY and there was a set of lips in bright red lipstick on his driver side mirror lol.

Sorry to hear that.. Its sad that they can't even drive in a parking lot let alone leave when they hit someone because of their stupidity

Insurance FTW. They won't up your rates for a hit and run and if they do you should find a new insurance company

Thats crazy because the other day when I was in NY I was cruisin around in my black durango and thought I hit somethin but wasnt sure. heh. jp.

I had the same thing happen to me in the parking lot at my work. The guy was cool enough to come inside and tell me though.

As others said, insurance should not up your rates if you make a claim.
