Read this thread if you ever feel like you want to sell your Evo: How to NOT do it!
Hardly a minute goes by that i don't stress on selling my evo..
its for sale right now on the boards and I have an 06 4 door civic outside, next to my unregistered expensive evo that I don't drive.. I have this idea that i can save the cash I would get from the sale. I know this isn't true deep down and that the money and evo will be gone someday.

HAHA... I also have a 2006 Civic EX4dr. besides the 2003 Evo I just bought...
I had an '03 Evo about 3 years ago but sold it as it was $20k and I didn't feel it was really worth that $$$. I bought a S R T 4 neon and loved the bottom end torque and the ability to squeal the tires in 2nd gear! I sold that and bought my 3rd or 4th LS1 Camaro and quickly modded it up to 392whp spinning the tires until 60 mph (M6) and 114mph quarter miles. Fun car but my kids could not see out and they didn't get a door (pain in the *** for me).
So I'm back to a budget '03 Evo--- gonna leave it stock and just drive it as my payment is only $172/mo. Ins. is only $46/mo.
I feel better about investing in this evo than my last one... as it was only $9900...
I almost sold my evo to get a supra..then i realized what i was missing...i was going in so many different directions with my car..
I take it to the track a FEW times a year so I should be going in the direction of street monster rather than worry about 1/4 mile times.
With that being said I have been thinking about doing the 2.3L with a 37R which I think is also known as a T67 but being a 37R its ball bearing to my knowledge while the T67 isnt? Same size but one is ball bearing and one isnt..could be wrong idk but basically that would still rev fairly high but make TONS of HP on pump gas
To fix my exterior boredness I plan to get CS lip with CS sides and a evo 9 jdm rear..also plan to have my engine pulled..and sprayed and clear coated and then tuck the engine bay.\
I figure that can make my evo look even more clean make *** tons of power to be keeping up with modded vettes vipers and supras and also look a little more agressive but maintaining its cleanliness.

I also ran a 03 silver cobra which i hear dynos at 500whp and ive heard from other sources it dynos at 550whp..ive been feeling a little slow since i went from C16 to pump since i lost quite a bit of power with having to turn down the boost as well.. but i kept up with him and led in every gear..not by much but enough to be like damnn..money well spent lol

Wow you gave up an Evo for a Neon? That sucks man!! That's gotta be a choice fueled completely by money.
I owned an SRT for 2 years. I would never own one again. Very overrated car.
LS1 Camaros (or Trans-am's) are FTW though!!

Biggest problem I hear from ex EVO's owners is for the money there really isn't anything better. They compare any car they own after to the EVO...they convince themselves they want something else but the secretly want another EVO. Usually these are the same ones that don't really like the looks (or price) of the new EVO X but really wanted a new vehicle.

The STi is a great compromise between the Evo and the Porsche though. Plus it's a hatch, which I've always wanted.

If you care that much about what people think about you or your car choice then you should sell it and get whatever you think John Q public thinks you should drive. LOL

My wife has a 01 IS300. She loves the EVO and the STi. But she also wants a Mercedes GLK, Audi OX5 or Land Cruiser supercharged. She's open to the hatchback STi (esp. after watchin the Ken Block Gymkhana Part 2 video).
I want a S2000 as a daily driver. Hopefully next year. IN another month or 2 I will be buying a beater for both of us to share. She wants to repaint her IS300 and I want to supercharge it and put nicer wheels on it. So I'm going to try and find a cheap Honda CRV for the utility.

Not true at all, the only part about my Evo I missed when I got the Porsche was the ease of modding it (and not having a car payment). No car I have driven has been "perfect" and I doubt any ever will be. All the more reason to have a few different cars in the garage

My sister had one and it had the nicer seats from previous years.....Her's was problem free because she left it alone excpet for a Turbo XS RFL BOV I put on. Mine would giveme major headaches everytime i tried to do the smallest thing to it.....never again.

After 13k miles my Neon (stock mind you) was non-stop problems. Luckily I lemoned that stupid thing out!!
IS300 with 2JZGTE is the route I would go!!
Considered the 04-05 STi before deciding on the IX. All the other STi variants have serious styling issues IMO. If the next one after the current hatch back/wagon style is nicer I'll probably get one. If it's another eye sore I'll stick with the IX and save for a 911.
03 Evo - SOLD - Really love it
07 335i - SOLD - love it
08 M3 - Current - Really love it
i need something comfy.. and a little upscale car to see/pick up client.
i'm thinking to get 08 X this winter. if i can go back in time, i won't sell the evo.

That was the original plan but after looking to it seems like a very expensive headache. If it was for me it would be no question but whatever i do for her has to be problem free (thats why I decided on a SC instead of a Turbo)
