It's finally coming to me, Tomei

Finally my turbo from Tomei has arrived in the US just when I am about to give up waiting... It's on its way to me now. It's a long 3 months wait. Hopefully it's worth the wait. Now, I'm just waiting for my 2 damn doors I purchase from here. Going 3 weeks now. Damn, I hate Greyhound express shipping.

Wow, that's a long time considering they're in the States. My turbo was being built in Japan and I suppose they're assembling and testing for best performance unlike the Chinese batch built turbo that sells for cheap I hope you'll get your tranny soon too.

so do I....post impressions on the Tomei kit. If you do't mind me asking why Tomei and some of the other regular choices here (FP Green/Red, 35R etc).

The numbers I have seen have been somewhat disappointing but there aren't enough out there to make a general judgment on this turbo yet.

I was thinking of the Green too earlier but I had to purchase the kit to install it. I was doing some search on the Tomei and I really like the look of the Tomei turbo and I got a real nice deal at the time so I took the opportunity. I'll post my impression once it's installed and tuned.

From what I heard, it's in between the Green and Red as far as power goes. My goal is to be close to 400whp and it's a pretty good looking turbo, a good price so what can go wrong with that?

It usually cost roughly about $1700 but got a 10% discount so came to about $1500. Not exact numbers but it's close. And I got it from EDO Performance. Not sure if the price on that turbo came down since I bought mine but if it does, oh well. I should have wait. But at least it's coming and I don't have to wait any longer. I believe AWD Performance also sells it too. Get a hold of Mike at AWD or Yohann at EDO. They're good guys to deal with. Not saying other vendors aren't good but them two are the vendors I have deal with in the past.

I got the turbo today. For some reason, the driver deliver it to the wrong suite and they sign my name for it. Luckily I call the office and they had the drive went and take it back and now it's in my hand.

If your goal is 400 whp there is cheaper ways of achieving it with stock turbo (Well if you had access to E85 in your area) or going with the BBK Full. Either way I'd like to see how it goes. I'm sure the quality of the kit will at least be decent.
