EVO Help

Guys,

I have just sold my 67 Corvette. I am looking for a new toy. Everything I read leads me to believe that the STI and the EVO are the only logical choices. I am a little concerned, I have never owned a toy car with 4 doors and a turbo. I drive a Infinity M45 as my daily drvier. This would be a weekend driver. I would do a couple of mods to either car i.e. exhaust, intake, ecm. My question is first, would I notice the 2 extra doors, and secondly is the EVO built poorly. I am leaning towards the EVO, but every other web-site says it is built poorly. Thank you in advance. This is my first post so please forgive me for being long winded.

You reading that the Evo is built poorly? Hah! Then you really need to look at some poorly built cars. The Evo is one of the most solid cars you'll ever feel. Granted, it won't have the luxury of something like an Infinity, but even compared to an STi, it's a night and day difference in quality.

You won't notice the 4 doors at all, until you need to put something in the back or people too. It's a great thing to have, and it still feels like a 2 door sports car.

Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Don't be too intimindated (sp?) by all the people you hear about with problems. You're always going to hear about the people who have problems, but never about the people with none. I have 10,000 miles on mine and no problems. I guess you could say the interior could be better. It's not dirt cheap seeing as how it comes with Recaros and a Momo steering wheel, but if you want a lot of luxury, this isn't the way to go. It's more for the performance.

Trust me guys, I owned a 67 Corvette for 2 years. There is no luxury in that car. I don't buy a sports car for luxury. I buy for driving pleasure. It just seems to me that the STI guys point out flaws to the EVO is quality. The EVO guys seem to say the STI guys have heat and engine problems. Don't get me wrong, I like the EVO. Otherwise I would have posted the question on an STI site. I just need some honest feedback. Again thanks for all of the advice and help. Us normal aspirated guys are trying to make the switch it just takes a little time to rethink displacement.

Then you'll think that the Evo is a luxury car compared to your Vette. I've driven my share of them and the Evo is a whole different animal. The way the car handles will literally blow you away.
