Not to be a wiseacre, but having peppered and pounded the side of my Evo at the track, I had to be philosophical about it (depressed too), I had a track car now, one I could drive without concern,... or less concern,.... actually I didn't track it much after that,.... awww nevermind.

Thanks guys. Golf ball+ size hail. Large enough to take out some car windows.

my baby is in a garage.

but yea gas station is another good one. Personally - I have parked friends cars in my front yard under all my trees. I would rather take the risk of a branch falling on ONE spot rather then hail peppering the entire car. -- Yes mine was in the garage at the time.. haha

I also had 2 friends go up to walmart and buy a huge tarp. And stand out in the storm holding the tarp off the cars to prevent damage. It worked - just cold lol

When my car was 3 months old (bought in 03) I got caught in a hail storm. Granted it doesn't sound as bad as yours, my hood and roof had 26 decent sized dings. They made me take it to the "Dingman" and I can't even tell where any of the dings used to be. I was pretty amazed at how well it turned out. Not sure it will work the same for you, but my insurance co was billed $1100 bucks for the repair.

Some time last year I was at work with my Evo. I look outside and it was dark as hell. Look at the radar to track a storm. It scare the crap out of me so I put in 15 min break and drove my Evo to the near by car wash. Didn't hail but just huge rain storm that passes by. Sorry to hear about your Evo got hit by the hail storm.

It's not really Man down cause that would imply that you or someone else is actually hurt. Now as for the car that's a different story. Sorry to hear
