question about undertray

to those of you who have taken the front undertray off the car, did you:

experience any changes in performance?

and any thoughts about taking it off?

thanks in advance!!!

Keep it. Better engine cooling, better airflow through the FMIC, better tranny cooling, better brake cooling, and more downforce in the front. It has a lot of advantages which I think far outweigh the PITA of removal/installation.

Have been told that it can cause overheating, so I decided to keep it on.....you probably should too :P

Removing the undertray does not cause overheating. It does provide an aerodynamic benefit though. I noticed a difference in highway speed stability between it removed and installed. I have since installed the Beatrush undertray.

What's your feeling on an aftermarkert undertray vs the stock one?

It beats the stock's fasteners!!! I hate those fasteners by far! Just 5 screws to undo and dont have to worry about breaking any of them.

I know there is a huge thread already on this subject talking about how it's a pain to take it off and put it back everytime you need to do some work, but if you drive it everyday you should keep it. So I would say it depends on your situation

ive had mine off for over a year and never have my engine temps got higher then when it was on, even driving the car hard. the engine bay does get a little more dirty but nothing to complain about. i never noticed any type of aerodynamic benefit/disadvantage with it on or off either
