could someone please tell me the distance from the exhaust outlets on the head to the most protruding part of the stock radiator fan? this information would be incredibly helpful and may only take a few seconds to retrieve. Thanks!!

 

Okay d-drifter, since nobody has responded, with a tape measurement (since my calipers won't fit in there with all the plumbing in place) taken on my stock VIII, the distance from the center of the radiator housing core back to the 4G63 block at the level of the head attachment is about 9.75" (you can determine the increase in distance to the recessed exhaust ports on the block back to the head projection to add to that dimension). The back of the fan assembly projects back about 5.0" from the center of the radiator housing core, so subtract that from the distance you determined for the exhaust port to radiator housing core. Sorry can't be more precise with everything installed, but that's in the ballpark at least.
