Evo 8 stuggling at wot, and poping

Evo 8 stuggling at wot, and poping

my car is acting wierd. it drives fine under normal driving and even when boosting slightly but if i floor it, it struggles,pops, and feels really jumpy and horible. please help. thanks

mods? maybe need some new plugs or it might fuel/boost cut? has it dons this before or just started?

replace ur spark plugs.

also your post is way to general. especially being not mod list or what you have tried doing so far.

this may be a stupid question, but is your check engine light on? it could be a misfire and throwing the P0300 code. mine came on and i tried stepping on the gas more (was attempting to go 70 mph) and it was studdering...

Regap plugs- boost is blowing the spark out. Need more info to help you. Not fuel cut.

right sorry. mostly stock just injen intake/ uicp and thats it and exhaust. oh and i just recently replaced the spark plugs.

wow everyon eposted the same thing at 1130 haha

and if you just replaced the plugs im guessing you prob didnt gap them correctly i believe its supposed to be .23-.25??

thanks smokedmustang now that i think about it i think i forgot to gap them. i guess i must have left it like that scince it ran fine but hadnt stepped on it. thanks ima regap them, that will be my starting point.

if they are ngk they come pre gapped

No problem! All 5 of us will be here to answer any other question you have.... Simultaneously! Lol. Compare old plug gap, with the new plugs you put in there. If problem is still there, put old plugs in and get into boost. If problem is still there with old plugs, its something else. Good luck, keep us posted.

lol i put those on cause my local stores didnt have em but yeah thats what ima do first thing in the morning. look for some or if not available ima order them online. thanks man.
