It is true that the 4G63 motor can handle it. I personally have a Galant VR4 that is making 400hp to the wheels and my friends 92 TSI is making 470hp to the wheels. Both with stock internals I might add.

ANYWAYS................................All we can do is wait for the REAL announcement from . I work in the parts department and yet to see any info about it. We just got the new disc for the new Outlander. My DSM has said that we will get the VIII, but she cant even confirm that yet. There will be a commercial at the next superbowl and it should be available in the middle of Dec 02. Our DSM comes by every 2-3 weeks and I try to get as much info from her as I can. So, I will keep eveyone informed as soon as I get the info. Trust me, I will be posting info from work about it.

For me, I cant wait. I have ordered an Euro Spec VII from E.I. In 6-8 weeks, it will be here.............................................. ....

I don't think that $29k is the real price. It's probably aroud the same price as the WRX if they want the car to be under $30k. Subaru promised a under $30k with options and they gave it to us. If Mitsu decides to bring the Evo to the US, there's no way that a $29k Evo woth options would hold true to the under $30k claim. Then again, these are just speculations and dealer info which are never correct. If the Evo comes out at the same price as the WRX, it'll be sitting in my driveway instead of the WRX
