Carmax offered 19000...deal or no deal?

I have a 2006 Lancer Evo IX. 43000 miles, no mods, clean carfax, clean title, clean everything. It could use tires in the next 10k miles though.

Carmax offered 19K. They also have a car that i want.

Has anyone dealt with carmax? Are their prices really non-negotiable?

My fellow evom'ers...what do you guys think?

-Dan

Yea, carmax is non-negotiable. It's going to be your prerogative. Have you tried selling yourself? And why are you selling!?! NO DAN NO!!!

Just saw two here in Miami go for 23k and 21.5. Im certain they are not giving you what it's worth in order to sell it for some sort of profit. I say try to sell it on your own...you'll get a few grand more. Don't know how it is up in your area but down in Miami Evo's don't stay on the market too long. Good luck.

Carmax has a black IX with 43k miles on their site right now for $24,147. So, they're gonna try and make 5k off your car. Like others said though, if you out of time take it. I'm about to do the same maybe.

19k is good for a TRADE IN. If you don't have time to sell it, take the 19k. You could probably get another 2-3k selling it yourself. Sometimes it's not worth the extra cash.

I don't think it's bad for a dealer honestly.
