Bump for a great guy. I drove to las vegas from san diego to pick the car up to tune it. Brought it back to him and the second lap out in pahrump it spun a rod bearing. I gladly donate my time and free tuning to this machine. All help is greatly appreciated. Let me know when you are ready for me to come back out nilly!! Back on the Mustang dyno we will go!!

no kiddin' if they actually knew the guy in person they wouldnt say that.
I have been there and this guy loves this community, and being out there showing us what is possible more than anything. He loves sharing info, answering phone calls and talking to fellow owners. What he has gone through in the last few months no one deserves. Especially Nils.
I am just waiting for my paycheck to come this week just so I can donate because of how much of a good friend he is. I know if it ever came down to it Nils would be there for me and he has already before.

Isn't that what sponsors are for anyways... ?

Most sponsorships are not a "Free Ride"
Fact : His sponsors are helping him out.
Fact : There is still out of pocket expenses that need to be paid.
If we can help a fellow Evo lover out than why not.

Eric/Nils..

Will I still get these 'donations' if I bought Nils car? If so, you got yourself a deal.

If not, I'll just probably give you a little help.

I second that. Sorry to be the logical one, but I see a couple of things that don't make sense. First, how many poor guys drive a 330 and have a race car? Unless you are a pro, this is just a hobby for you at the end of the day. Second, per the beginning of the thread, it said you were selling your race car to take care of your kids...then you decided to keep it. So I guess the kids don't need help? Then you had engine problems so you were selling again. Third, I assume you run race fuel in your car. So, once you "raise" enough money to fix your motor, fuel is free? Where is the money coming for that? Either you have real family problems and need the cash to take care of your family or not. There is no in between. This just seems a bit strange to me.

Look. I have been fortunate after 45 years of work to not have to worry about money anymore. On the same token, I have lost it all from my first business going under in Japan. The first thing I did? I sold everything I had to cover my wife and kids. That meant no toys, no fund raisers. I worked 3 jobs until I made it back again. I know you said that donations were not mandatory, but this guy needs to stop this and act like an adult. Don't use your kids, or divorce or anything else as a reason to keep your toy. I'm sorry bad things happened to you. Just the same, we all have problems, too. Seriously, though...just my opinion.

Well Mr. Logical...Don't donate...Easy.

Sometimes when people decide to help friends it is not the logical answer but the one that feels right. There are many on this board who have enjoyed following Nils racing and want to continue to follow it, It makes sense you've not seen it you've been here how long ?.

I don't understand why people need to come into this thread with the " I have problems too".... Maybe if you hang around for more than one post....Help others...give others a reason they'd want to help you too, well not me, but someone maybe.

This wasn't Nils idea. It was Eric Gaudi's at AMS. And your comment about "acting like an adult" is entirely presumptive.
